The action Frewin v. the Woodville Jockey Club, a claim for £100 damages for an assault by the clerk of the coursa in cutting plaintiff on the face when xemoving him from the course at the last race meeting, waß heasd before Mr Stanford, S.M. Judgment was given for plaintiff. The Magistrate held that if plaintiff was a trespasser unnecessary violence was used in removing him from the course.
