SHOCKING TRAGEDY.

[Special to Press Association.] MELBOURNE, August 15. A shocking tragedy has occurred at Timor, near Maryborough. A miner named Bowring fook a young woman named Randall, to whom he waß engaged to be married in October, for a drive. He alighted at a retired place, shot her through the head with a revolver, and then blew his own brains out. Both are dead. Bowring had been speculating and betting heavily lately, and had lost all his savings.
