Market Reports.
o WEEKLY SKIN SALES. In spite of there being large entries of sheepskins at the weekly sales yesterday matters were considerably quieter than they have been for the past few weeks, and prices were much easier. The reason for thia change iB not apparent, as the latest advices from the English market are of an encouraging nature. Buyers seemed disinclined to operate, and prices receded to below values ruling a month ago, although the fleeces are considerably heavier. All hides and calfskins were cleared at tariff rates. Bough fat was slightly firmer, but there wats no alteration in rendered sorts. Prices realised were as follow :— Butchers' best cross-breds 43 9i to •5s 7d, medium do 3s 6d to 43 6d, best longwools up to 6s, medium do up to 43 lOd, best merinoea 3a to 33 7d, medium do Is 9d to 2s 9d.
