St Albans Fifk and Drum Band. — The members of this band held their annual entertainment in the Merivale Schoolroom yesterday evening. There was a large audience, the room being full. The items on the programme were given by the members of the band and their lady friends, and the audience showed its appreciation by encoring many" of the songs. The opening chorus, " The Duke of Plazo Tqro," was exceedingly well sung by the company, aB also was a football song, "Sb Albanß Blues." Songs were sung by Misses H. Meadows and Pike, and Messrs A. Gordon and F. J. Swindell. Mr F. J. Painter played a cornet BOlO,'Mr J. R. Chapman acted as conductor, and Mr F. J. Swindell aa interlocutor. Meesrs H. J. Chapman and H. Swindell (Bones), and N. L. Chapman and E. Shelton (Tambo) caused much amusement. Miaa E. L. Swindell accompanied the conge on the pianaforte.
