A MASSACRE.
OPERATIONS AGAINST NATIVES. [Special to Pbbss Association.] LONDON, August 1. A letter to the Chronicle states that General .Toubert, commanding a large party of Boers and native allies, attacked a native stronghold north of the Transvaal, killed eighteen and exhibited their heads as trophies. Five thousand natives, including women and fifteen children, were driven towards Pretoria, and the roadway was strewn with the bodies of those who di«d from starvation.
