Hurunui Rabbit Board.
The usual monthly meeting of this Board was held on May 6; present — Messrs W. O. Rutherford (chairman), W. T. Robinson and T. Chapman. Messrs W. Thomson, J. C. Huddleaton, G. M'Leod and James Henderson were also present. Messrs Henderson and M'Leod'a reports were, read and approved. Mr G. D. Greenwood's letter to the Chairman, resigning his position as a member of the Board, was read. It was resolved, on. the motion of Mr BobinsoD, seconded by Mr Chapman, that Mr Greenwood's resignation Bhouid be accepted with regret, and that the Government shou d be asked to appoint Mr G. M'Eae, of Waipara Downß, to fill the vacancy, and to gazette hie appointment. It was decided that a workman should be employed on the Clarence fence during the winter at thirty shillings per week. A letter from Mr J. D. Ritchie was read, approving of the removal of the Hurunui fence from the north to the south side of the North Boad, between the old blacksmith's shop and the Waitohi cutting. The.Glerk was instructed to call for tenders forithe alteration of the fence, Messrs Rutherford and Chapman being authorised to accept them.
