ELLESMERE.
The ordinary meeting of this Board waa held on Tuesday ; present—Messrs A. Chamberlain (chairman), G. 0. Waby, R. Lochhead, W. Watson and W. M'&illan. Correepondence was read .—From Mr W. Cooper requesting tae Board to open up the accommodation road leading to tbe back of his land, between Sections 993*1 and 10896. It was decided to give the present occupier notice to remove the fence. From the Rakaia Road Board, enclosing copy of letters from the Solwyn County Council with reference to the boundary road be* tween Banksido and Rakaia. It was decided to hold the election of members on Monday, May 6, also tbe annual meeting of ratepayers on the same day at noon. A petition from E. Daffy and ofcheia was road, requesting the Board to form a portion of Coe'it Road, opposite the new lake lands. The Board decided to expend the cum of SA in improving the road. Mr A. Anderson asked the Board to shingle a portion of his road. Tho request was granted. The overseer's report waa read aud approved, and accounts amounting to £151 14s 6d were passed for payment.
