LINCOLN.
The ordinary meeting cf tins Board was hold on April 1; present— Messrs J. Sinclair (chairman), J. W. Overtoil and H. E. Peryrn-in. Correspondence was read :— From tha Saiwyn County Council, approving of tbe Board's action in remitting rate*. From Mr W. Pitt, asking tbo Board to provide drain-pipes for the road fronting his property, and agreeing to put them in himself. ■• Granted, from the same and others, asking that a postion of Fountaino'a Road should bo shingled. The Clerk wao instructed to reply that no fandßwere available. Mr Sharp aeked that the creek through his home farm should bo again cleaned by the Board. Mr Sharp was informed that the Boaid'a decision would be forwardod to him by letter. Tho monthly report was read. It wos resolvad that, applications should be invited for carting by the day for single and double hor«eß and drays. Accounts amounting to JSOB 9s Sd were passed for payment.
