GENEROSITY.
Generosity is one of the finest ositiea in nature, and the noblest form of it ia this, that when you've got more of anything than you know what to do with, and you see a chance of giving it away, ro t hat the fellow you give it to is obligvd to givo you baok twice the value of what he got, you have an inward feeling then that generosity is a great thing. Generosity ennobles a man's nature and often meets it« reward in this world. For examph, when a o-ib.y a-sbß for ova and sixpence iust.ai oc a --l.il iii } ; Jut , a >i,«rm man would rebel and only reward hnn with his regular fare, but a generous man would put a bad two-Bhilling piece in bis hand with a smile and allow the cabby to depart. This would be rank genero-aity. Many doctors recomui .nd poor patients a generous <iW-t or go-i'-pron- wine, and insist on walking o_ with tho feo with which it might have been purchased. This is generosity. Dr Jenner, of vaccination fame, was celebrated for his generosity, and the beautiful poem containg tbe well-known line—" Ho kissed the spot and made it well," was written in honour of him. There is a lot more to be said about generosity, but I ain't going ta say ifc— P-ST»R PttHSiß.
