Rhodes Convalescent Home

Ehiud, Goorge Ehodes and the hon- ; orary secretary. An apology for non- j attendance was received from Mr W. E. j Mitchell. The Secretary's report wns read I and adopted. It showed that during the ■ month sixteen patients were received, tsn left the home and that there wero thirteen remaining. Messrs Beswick and Hartis forwarded draft deed of declaration of trust, which was referred to a subcommittee to consider. The Secretary reported that Messrs Eoss and Leighton, nurserymen, of Opawa, had given one hundred healthy peach trees to the institution, and all had been carefully planted out. The usual monthly donations of papers and magazines had been received from Messrs W. M. Lewis, H. J. Ainger, W. G. Brittan and C. Garrard. Mr Beckett, of Almora, Upper Eicoarton, had given a quantity of flowering and other shrubs and pines for planting ia sheltered spots in the garden. Miss G. Brantou-Day had presented a garden chair and foot rest to the homo, and Mr S. S. Blackbume had also made a similar donation. Votes of thanks were passed to the various donors. Boutine business was- transahted, and the meeting terminated.
