A meeting of members of the North Canterbury Hunt Steeplechase Club was held at the Crown Hotel, Amberley, on Thursday. Mr Starky ooonpied the chair. Tho balance-sheet showed a tarn of JBI2O to credit. The assets of the olub were £165 and the liabilities £12. Mr Potts's resignation of the position of seoretary was accepted with much regret. A hearty vote of thanks to Messrs Starky, Potts and Parsons for their valuable assistance in the club's interests was unanimously carried. The sum of J6BO was voted to the Brackenfield Hunt Club, The annual meeting of the Braokenfield Hunt Club was held on Thursday night at the Crown Hotel, Amberley. There was a large and representative meeting. Mr C. Dampier-Crossley occupied the ohair. The honorary treasurer, Mr Greenwood, reported that there were sufficient funds to meet liabilities. A committee was formed to report in a month's time whether the hunt could be carried on. A. hearty vote of thanks, was passed to the farmers over whose country the hounds had hunted. Clarence and Thorpehave been scratched for all engagements at the Ashburton Racing Club's Spring Meeting.
