Mahomedans who were praying in the mosque at Poonah objected to the din created by the music from a Hindoo procession. The Hindoos, however, persisted, and a fierce fight took place, in which four thousand men took part. The result was that the mosque was demolished. EOMB, Sept. 14. Cardinals' Hats. It is difficult to get at the truth of the repotted sale of the Londonderry mine, but it is believed that Earl Kingall, acting on behalf of a syndicate, has purchased it for abont a quarter of a million, with a Bizth interest reserved.
