[Per Pbibs AsaocnTiow.l NAPIER, Sept. 12. la tho Supreme Coorb John Clarebur t, an expressman, aged over sixty, waa convicted on five counts of indecent assault upon girls under fourteen years of age, and the jury endorsed the strong comments of Judge Richmond on the groaß immorality disclosed by the evidence. His Honor said that but for the prisoner's grey hairs he would have ordered the lash. As it was, he imposed a sentence of seven years' penal servitude. Fept. 13. E. H. Cooper, for false pretences, waß sentenced to s<z months' imprisonment. P. C. W. Bierre, for embezzlement of Eoad Board and Foresters' funds, at Danevirke, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. . \
