THE MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.

Christclmrch. The elections for the South- west and j Richmond Wards of the city created very little interest and no excitement. The polling'place for the South-west Ward, where Dr Stewart and Mr Lightband contested the seat, was at St Michael's school, where Mr T. Turner acted as Dapnty-Re-turning-Officer. The candidates for Richmond were Messrs Flesher, Sorenson and Widdowson, and Mr Woodrough officiated S3 Deputy-Returning Officer. The polling place was at the Foresters' Hall, Yogel Street.
