The remand was granted,, hail being allowed in two sureties of £50 each and the accused in his own recognisance of £100. Vagrancy. — Margaret Ellison, alias M'Kenzie, was charged with having inBufficient lawful means of support. James. Campbell was similarly charged. Both pleaded not guilty. Sergeant-Major Mason stated that for Borne time past a number of bad characters had made ftcamp out at ' Fendalton, much to the annoyance of the residents there. Campbell had been warned several times to leave, but he had not done so, and he and the woman had been arrested. Evidence.' was given for the prosecution. Wright v. M. M'Callum £3 10s, Mr T. S. Weston for plaintiffs;. W. Strange and Co. v. F. W. Sears, claim £5 9a lOd, judgment summons, Mr Slater for judgment" creditors. The debtor's ability to pay was not proved, and no order was made.— WCronin and T. Gaffneya v. C. E. Turner,, claim £3 11s; judgment summons. Mr Bruges for judgment creditors. An order was made to be suspend* d for one month, in default fouiteen days' imprisonment — Trades Auxiliary Company v. E. Lyndon,, claim £1 2s 6d, subscriptons to the Mercantile and Bankruptcy Gazette. Mr Rusßell for plaintiffs, for whom « judgment was: given for the amoonfc claimed with costs.
