You discovered ata) thab there are four or five unemployed working with the Council workmen, who. are paid at the rate of 6a per day, although the unemployed get but their 3b 6d for doing the same work, viz., improving the Church property northwards, while the city surveyor gets .3b 6d per hour. Wnat is the Mayor doing that he allows such injustice to be done to up, the unfortunates who are f creed by tbe miserable state of things to accept such starvation' pay ?— I am, &c, SYMPATHETIC.
