[Per Pbkbs Association.' l NAPIER, Sbpt. 11. The Supreme Court opened to-day before Judge Richmond. There waa nothing special in his charge, bub he commentad strongly on the immorality disclosed in the evidence in tbe case against an expressman named Clarebut, charged with indecent assault on six young girls. Roderick M'Kenzie, charged with stealing a watch, was found not guilty, bat on a seoond charge of a aimilar nature was convicted. Frederick Harold Cooper pleaded guilty to two chargeß of obtaiirng money by false pretences and one of forgery. He is an educated and . well-conn ectad young man of twenty-two. F. C. W. Bierre, late town clerk at Danevirke, pleaded guilty to two charges of fraudulent misappropriation of moneys. Sentence was deferred in all casts.
