Forestry and Fruit Culture.
[SPBCIAL TO THB STAB.] WELLINGTON, August 29. It is the intention of the Lands Department to re-establish the Forestry branch on a moderate scale. The Government haß intimated that the experimental orohard at Whangarei will be abandoned, and new Government orchards will be I opened at Waverley for the North Island, and at Pomahaka for the South Island. •
