A BLAST.
On one occasion Macdonald, the guide* was ascending Ben Nevk with a party from Birmingham. The day was very windy, and it was with the greatest difficulty that the gentlemen could keep their hats upon their heads. One. of the party asked Macdonald if he had ever experienced a more windy day. " Yeß," was the reply. " And did you go on to the summit ? " . " Teß ; and it blew so hard that the first one who stepped thereon had to get the one behind him to hojd his hair on for him." "And what did Tudor " Why, he got the one that came nest to do the same for him." "But what did the last one do when he came beside them ?" "Why, gentlemen, he wbb bald-headed." The gentlemen from Birmingham haaae more questions to ask.
