The Late Rev H, B, Cocks.

■». . .. \ The funeral of the late Eev H. B. Cooks took place yesterday afternoon. The cortlga left deceased's late residence at two o'clock. At half-past two the flrst part of the service was conducted in St Saviour's Ohuroh by the incumbent, the Bey E. A. Soott, assisted by the Bey W. Harper. There was a large attendance, the ohuroh being crowded, while a number of people remained outside. Among those present were Canon Cotterill, the Beys W. Harper, F. Knowles, E. J. Thorpe, H. Williams, F. W. Knowles, J. Sheldon, W. T. P. Wintar, , H. J. C. Gilbert, C. H. Goßsett, W. Cruden, F. P. Fendall, J. F. Teakle, E. E. Chambers, W. S. Bean, C. Coates (Anglican), J. M. Simpson (Presbyterian), J. N. Buttle (Wesieyan), the Hon H. B. Gresson, tbe officers, vestrymen and members of St Saviour's Church, his Worship the Mayor of Sydenham, Councillors Forrester, Langdown, Bndd, Muffett and moßt of the prominent residents of the ' borough. After tha service at the church the procession was re-formed, and the body was borne to the Churoh of England cemetery in Barbadoes Street. The pallbearers were Messrs J. Stothers, A. Loo, W. Wraight, O. Peacock, T. Jacobs and W. Fißher. The service at the grave was conducted by the Bishop of Christohurch and the Beys E. A. Scott and W. Harper. _______________
