A meeting x>f the Committee was held subsequently ; present— Dr Jennings (in the chair), and Messrs T. S. Marshall, ff . Frost, F. T. Evans, G. W. Forbes, T. W. Eeese and T. E. Creaswell. A letter waß read from Mr W; J. Hickenbotham, complaining of the treatment he received from a Linwood player while acting aa referee in the President's Cup match between the S vdenham and Linwood teams. The matter wsb left in the hands of Mr Marshall, Captain of the Linwood Club, to report at next meeting. Th 9 Hon Secretary of the United Drapers' Club wrote abating that in the match between Sydenham and United Drapers' A, played 3aßt Thursday, a number of the members of the former Club's team playei with iron heals and toe-plates oa tbeir boots. It was resolved to instruct referees to enforce the Union's rule on the point in. future matches. The Hon Secretary of the Hardware Club wrote making a protest in repaid to the match between the Hardware and Linwood Clubs, played on ThuredayJlast, on the ground that six members of the latter Club were Saturday playera and that one of them was a member of the Aehburton Club. It was pointed out that one. of the rules of the Union provided for Junior Flag players taking part in Thursday Flag matches. On the motion of Mr Frost, seconded by Mr Forbes, the protest was dismissed. Mr Marshall moved—" That in the opinion of this Committee tbe inclusion of Junior Flag playera in the Thursday teams must necessarily tend to raise the grada of football." Carried. Two protests from Christ's College and the Boys' High School teams were deferred till next meeting. It was decided to hold the annual tournament on the Saturday following the animal match with Otago. MesEra Cresswell, Eeese and Froßt wera appointad a Bub-Committee to make the necessary arrangements and report to next meeting. After disposing of some routine business the meeting closed.
