The Hawera Horse and Cattle-stealing Cases.

[Per Peebb Association.] HAWERA, June 14. The fourth charge of horse-Btealing against Murdoch and John M'Lean and Albert Young, which had been adjourned owing to the latter's illneßS, was resumed yesterday. No fresh evidence was forthcoming. The prisoners, who reserved their defence, were committed for trial. The cattle-stealing charges then began. John M'Lean and Albert Young were charged with stealing twenty-eight cattle, valued at £128 10s, the property of Mr Reed, of Manaia. The case is unfinished.
