The annual report of the Public Service Association regrets that Parliament has not Been its way to pasß a satisfactory Civil Service Bill, and states that until classification can be secured, anomalies in the position and prospects of officers mußt continue to exist, and to be a constant source of dißcontent and dissatisfaction. A scheme to ; provide retiring allowance ,' is much needed. The total membership is eleven hundred and twenty-four. The balancesheet to the end of December showed a credit of JB9B, and the assets show a surplus of £103 over liabilities.
