At the Presbyterian General Assembly to-day, it was resolved without discussion to.leave the Auckland Alexander case in the hand* of the Church Property Board, j simpliciter. In the matter of a me- | mortal from the Christchurch Presbytery, it was agreed to direct the attention of ministers and others to Clause 36 of the Church Property Act, which empowers the Treasurer of a Board to grant a legal receipt for all trust moneys. la the application anent Mr Osborne, the Assembly resolved to grant power to the Hawke's Bay Presbytery to license Mr Osborne in January, 1894, after his examination by the Examination Board.
