On Saturday night the infant male child of Mr George and IMrs Alexandrina Abbott, of Leinster street, St- Albans, died suddenly. The child had been sickly for a couple of months, bub as it seemed worse Mr Abbott went to Dr Townend and gave particulars of its symptoms, and the doctor prescribed for it. On returning home the child was too ill to take a powder, but the medicine was administered and made it retch. Shortly after the medicine had been taken convulsions set in, and the child died at 1 1.20 p.m.
