[Special to Press Association.! BRUSSELS, Nov. 21. The Monetary Conference excites but little interest at present, and the chance of it resulting in success appears hopeless. No programme was drawn up for submission to the delegates. Sir Charles Eivers Wilson is the most active of the British representatives. Nov. 22. The debates at the Silver Conference are conducted in private. Each State is allowed a single vote. It is believed that England opposes bimetalism, and it is reported that a majority of the delegates are in favour of it. It is now denied that Italy has seceded from the Conference, and also that Bhe secedes from the Latin Union (that of France, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland to maintain the use ' of the same coinage). LONDON, Nov. 22. Cholera has .reappeared in Bruges, Hague, St Petersburg, Brussels and Cherbourg, and numerous deaths are recorded. Friday last was observed as a day of thanksgiving'in Hamburg, owing to the cessation of the plague. PARIS, Nov. 22. M. De la Haye having accused one hundred and fifty unnamed members of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of corruption in connection with the Panama Canal, the Premier has agreed to appoint a Committee to inquire into the matter. The charges of M. De La Haye led to scandalous scenes in the Chambers. ' Count de Lesseps professes ignorance of the proposed trial of the Panama Canal Directors. His relatives fear that if he is placed on trial the shock will have a serious effect on him.
