The Hospital.
TO THE EDITOB. Sir,— The report of the Hotise Committee of the Hospital, which appeared iv your paper tins evening, is a very funny document. First, from the "mixed" character of its composition, and, secondly from the attempt on the part of its author to utiliae it as a medium for taking the honorary medical staff and the newspapers to task for having nipped public charity in the bud, through opening up a discussion on the condition of other portions of the institution while the Committee was soliciting subscriptions towards the Nurses' Home. There appears to be a general misconception as to the proposed use of the two condemned wards. I have not the paper at hand to refer to, but remember that in your published interview wjth Dr Stewart, Chairman o2 the Medical Staff, he very distinctly pointed out that wards one and two would be admirably suited for the out-door patients, department, and recommended that the upstairs portion should be utilised as a pathological museum, without which no hospital is complete. If thiß suggestion were borne in mind by the new Board when making the proposed alterations and additions, much money would be saved, and the institution greatly benefited.— l am, &c, OBSERVER.
