Elkctbical Science. — The New Yorq Herald, gires the following account of the -application of electricity to dentistry. The instrument, which is called the Dental Electric Vibrator, consists of a small induction coil, with a highly-strung 1 armature of extreme sensibility. A battery of two ordinary cells furnishes the current, and pioduces the immense number of four hundred and fifty-two vibrations 1 per second, giving the Bound of the musical keynote "A." It is then Btopped, and the forceps to be used are attached to a third wire connected with the positive pole of the instrument, and at the moment of extraction the current is again applied and cut off immediately afterwards. The patient feels no pain from the operation, and simply experiences a " pins and needles" sensation in the hands. A marked feature in the me of the Electric Vibrator ia the very alight Hemorrhage that ensues— muoh less than in ordinary cases.
