Some pinus insignia and other trees had been taken out where necessary, but there had been no ruthless destruction of trees, and the work had been very well and carefully done by the contractor. Veitoh, of the Exotic Nurseries, had sent a gift of seeds for the gardens. During the past season he had felled a quantity of poplar trees, which would be sold as firewood. This report and thatoi the Park Ranger were approved. A circular from Government, asking for information as to the names of the members of the Board, and its funds and expenditure, was laid on the table. It was decided to enforce the Board's by-law against bicycle riding in the Park, and the Board adjourned.
