The German Squadron.

[Pee Pbess Association.] WELLINGTON, Nov. 17. The stay of tho Gorman squadron in Wellington will probably extend over three or four weeks. Somo new officers are on their way out from Germany by the Kaiser Wilhelm, which is about due at Sydney, and are to join the squadron before it leaves New Zealand waters. It ia undecided whether tho officers will join the squadron here or at Auckland, buc if a steamer is leaving Sydney soon after they arrive there they will come across to Wellington direct, in which case the men-of-war will sta^ at this port for about four weeks, and not go on to Auckland, as had been arranged. On learing New Zealand the squadron will go for a cruise in the South Sea?. Archduke Franz, of Austria, has a large and very interesting collection of relics of criminals who have been executed. Among the relics are portions of tha ropes used in hanging the Chicago anarchists.
