[Pkb Fbkss Association.] "WELLINGTON, Nov. 18. Messrs A. S. Pateraon and Co., merchants of Dunedin and London,,have established a branch, here. Mr Putnam, who was thrown from a buggy last night, still lies unconscious at the Hospital. Mr Miller, who was admitted to the Hospital last night, apparently suffering from the result of being thrown from a vehicle, recovered consciousness this morning, and has been discharged from the institution. At the Police Court, this morning, Captain Reardon, of the p.s. Terranora, was fined £1 on a charge of having moored hia vessel to a buoy in the French Pass, which caused the buoy to be removed from its position. It iB understood that one local firm, who had consignments of salt on the Rakaia, has refused to take delivery, and negotiations are now proaeeding between the Shipping Company and the only other firm who had salt on the vessel.
