[Per Press Association.] TIMAEU, June 24. The Supreme Court was opened by Mr Justice Denniston. There are only five prisoners — two charged with forgery, two with larceny and one with horse stealing. One of the forgery cases occupied aU this morning and is unfinished. One of the witnesses was the other forger, who eaid he would plead "Guilty," and accused said this man gave him the documents he was charged with forging. INVEECABGILL, June 24. The June sittings of the Supreme Court opened to-day, before Mr Justice Williamß. There are only two criminal cases on the calendar, which is the, lightest known for years. One case is against a man for assaulting his father-in-law, and the other is a charge of larceny against two settlers who, it is alleged, removed oats on which there was a lien. The Grand Jury were not discharged owing to the Judge wishing them to deal with Samuel, Edward and Joseph Jephson, who were yesterday committed for trial at Queehstown for the larceny of dynamite from a mine.
