Early Closing.— At a meeting of the Committee of the Qrocera' Association, held yesterday, it waa unanimously agreed that members are well satisfied with last Saturday's trade, and have no cause to regret their action in closing at six o'clock. The meeting of those interested in getting up Saturday evening entertainments, in connection with the Early Closing Association, haß been postponed from May 14 to May 21. Election. — At the election on Tuesday last for a member to represent No. 5 Ward on the Templeton Eoad Board, Mr John Taylor was returned by a majority of nine voteß The votes recorded were as fol- 1 lowb j- J.
