Opebativb Bakers' Society. — A meeting of the Canterbury Operative Bakers' Association was held in Hobbs' Buildings on Saturday evening. The President waß in the chair ; and over fifty were present. Twenty new members were enrolled. It was decided to meet a deputation of the master bakers next Saturday evening, to discuss matters in relation to the rules to be adopted on Slay 1 ; also to have a honse of call for idle members. The Association decided to affiliate with the Traders and Labour Council. The meeting then adjourned.
