By Cobb and Co's coach, on Saturday, there arrived, en route for Dunedin, to pick up " wrinkles " at4&e Exhibition, or a "soft thing" at Forbury, Messrs Seddon, M.H JJ., MitcheU (Mayor of Greymouth), andLahmann (Clerk to the-Grey County Council), all well-known and highly esteemed West-Coasters. Mr Hungerford, another old resident and prominent citizen of Greymouth, who has lately become the owner of British Lion, also passed thorough, having driven over in a sulky. Mr Hungerford, who arrived on Sunday evening, and who left for Dunedin on Monday, is a well-known contractor in connection with various publio works, notably the Grey-Brunner railway; which was built by the firm of Hungerford and M'Kay,. and this Greymouth Harbour works, which the same firm now -xAve, or lately had, in hand. Mr Grimmond, M.H.8./ and Mis Grimmond came through by a previous coach. These stre: a pioneer 7 contingent, ether wellknown Coasters being expected soon to follow ; so with the tourist and holiday traffic that will almost certainly come in dne course, there ought to be busy times on the road during the coming summer. The list of departures from Springfield, temporarily, include Messrs H. Williamson and H. Davies, who left on Monday with the view of taking a trip to Sydney for the sake of a Bea voyage and the benefit of their health. Mr Lindop, Manager pf the Springfield Coal Company, left at the end of the week for Dunedin to take charge of the Company's fireclay exhibit*?. ■■ _ — -—
