Determined Suicide.
[Pbb Pbbsb Association.] DUNEDIN, Sbpsv 11. A mannamed Arthur fimpsoa committed suicide in a most determined manner at Caversham this morning. He refused a ctrp of tea in bed from his wife, knocking itoatof her hand. He then got up and went into the kitchen, where he took up a bread knife and made a wound in his throat. She ran out for assistance, when he appears to have taken up a combined knife and saw, and used the latter to make a horrible wound. A neighbourwaa so horrified that he went off for the police and medical assistance, and on his return the man was dead. Empson had a station some years ago at Sangitata, Canterbury. He has been in Western Australia, and only came to Dunedin a few weeks ago. He has shown symptons of insanity for some time, but his wife thought she could control Joim. ____________
