The Hon Dr PoliiEN continued the adjourned debate on tbo second reading of i theFairßentof Landßi_l,andmoved tbat it be read a second time this day six months, because the measure affected so many local todies. ! The Hon Dr Gbace looked upon the •measure &3 a most preposterous one, and hoped the Council would show its sense ;by carrying the amendment of Dr Pollen. The Hon G. M. Watekhouse considered there was no necessity for the Act. If it passed it would create an agrarian question, which would be very undesirable and •disastrous to the Colony. He sincerely loped the Bill would never become law. The debate waa interrupted by the dinner adjournment.
