Tho case of tho French prisoner Cury ■was before the Court again to-day, -when the French Consul was called upon to show cause -why a rule nisi for the release of Cury, granted last "Wednesday, should not be made absolute. After argument, judgment was reeerved.
DUNEDIN, August 8. Gideon Williamsou, the mau injured on tl_e Purakanui Cliffs on Monday in>ht by a falling stone, died in the Hospital to-day, having never recovered conscioußnc-ss. lie loaves a wife and a large family.
