SUICIDE.

Jam Tarts and Rough on Rats. [Per Pbebb Association.] AUCKLAND, Mabch 14. William Luker, residing at Esrangahape road, committed suicide yesterday by taking a quantity of rat poison. Deceased stated that he bought six jam tarts, that he placed the poison on them, and ate them, as he was tired of life. He died twelve hours after taking the poison. Luker, who has a wife and family in England, was an inmate of the Whau Asylum, and was only liberated in November last.
