FIRES.
Hotel Burned Down* [Fib Pbxbs Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Mabch 14. The Omata Hotel, three miles south of New Plymouth, was burned down at 11 o'clock last night. A gale was blowing at ! the time. The licensee and his family had I barely time to escape before the building was enveloped in flames. The origin, is unknown, but the fire is supposed to have commenced near the kitchen range. The property is owned by Mr Newsham, and leased to Mr Paul, brewer, New Plymouth, and insured in his name in the Phoenix for £200. There is no insurance on stock or furniture.
