The Markets.
__c JNew Zealand .Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have just received the following cablegram from London, dated Sept 13 : — Wool. — Since the close of the last sales the following sorts have declined : Medium and inferior greasy, and medium and inferior clothing washed, |d per lb ; medium to good, also interior scoured merino, Id per lb ; greasy merino lambs', -|d to Id per lb. Other descriptions are unchanged. The attendance of both Home and foreign buyers is fair, and competition fairly active. Up to date 57,000 bales have been sold.
Wheat. — Market quiet. _7ew Zealand long-berried is worth 32s per 4961 b.
. Tallow. — Market quiet. G-ood mutiton and beef are worth respectively 22s 9d and 22s per cwt. # Leather. — Market steady. Best sides are worth lid per lb.
