Irish Affairs.
LONDON. S«?T. M. The debate on Irish affairs was continued in the House of Commons last night, when Mr Dillon demanded lenient treatment for Irish political prisoners. The Chief Secretary for Ireland stated that the Government declined to distinguish between inciters to crime and actual criminals. Mr Parnell bitterly denounced the barbarity of the decision of the Government, which he declared would be responsible for the consequences if Irish people retaliated.

Parliament will be prorogued on Friday nest.
Comraercial. Consols have advanced £ to 101^. New Zealand inscribed stock re mains at 99£.
Colonial breadstuffs and tallow are without quotable change. At to-day's wool sales 11,800 bales were offered. Tho market is steady, but inactive..
Brandy (Hennessv's and MartelFs) has advanced from 16s to 16's 6d per gallon.
