The Wairarapa Poultry Show was opened at the Masterton driJlgHfid yesterday; and was • great succeeds. The entries were numerous, and the quality of the exhibits excellent. Most of the prises were carried off by looal exhibitors, Rogan and Co., of of Wellijagton, being fairly succesßful. W. L. Curtis took the majority of the prizes for pigeons, and Hyde and Bobs for canaries. Awn Parker, charged with stealing a watch from a body washed ashore, was nentenoed-to a-month'a imprisonmeflt.
