Bazaars.

-0 The Tuam street Hall was fairly patronised last night, and the stall-holders, j with their assistants, appeared to be doing j a moderate but steady business. An excel- J l lent string band, under the direction of '\ J Hen* Biinz, played a selection of particu- I I larly charming music, evidently to the i delight of the audience. The admirable j arrangement of the etalls, the beauty of the fernery, and the numerous other i attractions, elicited general encomiums. The Bazaar will be open to-day, and in the j evening the music will be provided by the 1 Stanmore Band. i The bazaar and gift auction in aid of All ; Saints Church came off in the Prebbleton 1 Town Hall on Friday last, June 11, with j the following results :—Mrs Overton'a and j lira Basaetfs atallß realised, by sale and ! aociion, jS-42 6s ; Mrs Haydon'B and Mrs j Bast's stall, by sale and auction, £22 is 9d j j Mrs Eobinaon'e Btall, by sale and auction, I j613 17a 4d; Mra and Miss Eobinson'a and I Mias Williams' refreshment stall realised :£o lls 7d; the Misses Thorpe's Christmas j tree, £& 7s sd. Great praise is due to the ladies ; for the manner in which they worked, and ! also to the managing Committee, as every- { thing 1 waa well arranged and worked j admirably. The auctioneer who kindly ; gave his services was Mr Esnnettß, who, i with hia humorous remarks and jokes, ! realised good prices. -Yotea of thanks were ' given to the ladies and all tbo&e who had assisted, ako to the auctioneer, who : tUanked the audience, and expressed himi self willing to give his services on any ; future occasion for so good a purpo&e. =
