The infant child of Mr W. Hewson, of Waterton, died suddenly yesterday morning while on the way to Ashburton for medical assistance. An inquest was held at the Somerset Hotel at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, the verdict being " Died from natural causes." [Phb Pbbbs Association.] AUCKLAND, March 30. At the inquest on Mra Askew the jury returned a verdict of " Death from misadventure through an overdose of laudanum." It is reported that a man, unknown, committed suicide by jumping into the Waikato river at Cambridge last night. The police are making a rigorous search.
