This order was maintained until the last hurdle was reached, when Baldie closed on Polly. A good race then ensued, and Trha Sec gradually wearing them down beat Polly by a head after an exciting finish, Baldie half a length away third. Dividend— M 15s. HACK HDBDLE EACE, of 10 mm. Salamander, Chathams, and Master Guy negotiated the first hurdle in that order, but at the back of the course Master <ivy went up to Salamander, and the pair raced together to the last hurdle, when the former ran off, and Salamander cantered home three lengths ahead of Chathams. Dividend, £25 15s. RACING CLUB HANDTOAP. Conundrum, by Opawa— Mystery Girl : Derrett) 1 Oep (Huxtable) 2 Athol Daisy (B^m) 3 BHb/waeeoratflhed. Conundrum was quickest away, and on settling down was leading Oeo by two lengths, a similar distance separating the latter and Athol Daisy. In this order they ran for seven furlongs, when Oeo and Aihol Daisy closed on Conundrum, and the trio ran in even line along the back stretch, and round the top turn. As they turned their heads for home, Derrett let Conundrum out, and having his opponents in difficulties, won hard held by three-parts of a length from Oeo, who beat Athol Daisy by the Bame distance for second place.
