RIFLE SHOOTING.

On Saturday afternoon the return match, Opawa Eifle Club v. Canterbury Eeserve Corps, was fired off, resulting in a win for the Club by 156 points. The conditions of the match were seven shots at 200, 400 and 500 yards with ten men a-side. The following are the scores made :— OPAWA EIFLE CLUB.

OPAWA RIFLE CLUB. On Saturday afternoon the fifth competition came off for the Club's trophy, the ranges fired at being 200, 300, 400 and 500 yards, five shots at each. At 500 yds the shooting waa very bad owing to the men having to fire when it was almost dark. Appended are the scores of those who made over 50: —
