AUSTRALIAN REPRESENTATIVES t. COMBINED FIFTEEN. zb7 mlmotrio tsleqraps— copyright,} [Rbuteb'b Telegrams.] ADELAIDE, March 20. The match between the Australian representative team and the Combined Fifteen of Australia was continued to-day. The combined team, who had scored 166 for five wickets on the previous day, continued their innings, and were all disposed of for 245 runs, being 177 behindhand. They followed their innings, and on the stumpa being drawn they had scored 162 runs for the loss of three wickets. Houston placed 55 to his credit. In the first innings Lewis was the highest scorer — 69.

SENIOR GUP MATCHES. MIDLAND t. LANCASTER PABK. The closing scene of this match, at Lancaster Park on Saturday, only lasted a few minutes. Stevenß and Cooper took their stand at the crease, and Barnes took up the bowling*. Stevens made a couple, and then in the next over Cooper was caught at point by "Washer off Garrard, the Lancastrians thus losing the match by 33 runs. Scores : —

The opening of this the concluding match of the cup series was rather dull, the Lancastrians being at the wickets until past 5 o'clock for a trifle over one hundred runs. There waß a very fair wicket ; the bowling, though moderately good, was nothing really terrible; while the fielding might have been a great deal better, so that it was their own weakness rather than their opponents' strength, which is responsible for the small total. Being deprived of the services ot Beeves naturally did not leaden the weakness. Boss and E. J. Cotter ill opened the bowling, the latter dismissing his 'brother with his first ball. Wilding and Orawßhaw then became partners, and played steady cricket until the latter was run out with the score at 22. Taylor and Wilding made things pretty lively, the latter getting hold of Wood and Cotterill several times for good drives in his favourite style. Wilding also emote Cotterill to the boundary once for four, the only one made by a Lancaster Park man during the afternoon. Soon after, however, he was beautifully caught by W. J. Cotterill, off B. B. Mathias, at mld-on, for 28, made mostly in singles, and with one hard chance, the score standing at 51. D. Dunlop succeeded, and the brothers Mathias, who had taken up the bowling, vice Cotterill and Wood, went on. H. B. was not so lucky as his brother, who had juat got Wilding, and soon after had the satisfaction of seeing Taylor return him a hall in the mildest manner. His 19 were made in very good style. Dunlop and Stevens gave a good deal of trouble, the former playing his usual defensive game. The veteran made some good cuts and drives, and at last fell a victim to the slows after scoring a well-earned 15. None of the rest succeeded in reaching double figures, and the innings closed for 105. B. B. Mathias comes out best in the analysis, hut Cotterill bowled, perhaps, better without much luck. The United men went in to bat with the laßt half-hour and a very dull, bad light. Probably to that may bo ascribed the aeries of misfortunes which overtook some of their best bats. Millton and A. Harman played six maiden overs, and Dunlop then clean bowled the former, as he did his partner- two overs later in revenge for a big leg hit for four. R. D. Harman also allowed Dunlop to find the way to his wicket, and the TT.C.C. have three wickets down for only 7. Scores : — LANCASTER PABK-lßt Inninea.

The final match for the Junior Cup between the Addington C.C. and Howe's team, L.P., was begun on Saturday last, and, bo far as the game has gone, stands slightly in favour of Eowe'a team. The fielding of both teams was above the ■average, and during the game some very smart catcheß were made. The following are the scores : —

A match was played at Longbeach on Wednesday last between an Ashburton team and one supplied by the local club. It ended in .a draw, the Longbeach Club having one wicket to fall, and 95 runß to make, when time was called. Mr John Grigg sumptuously entertained both teams.
