WOOLSTON PARISH FESTIVAL.

The Woolston Parish Festival was held yesterday in Bamford's paddock under the most favourable circumstances, and, as usual, was a great success. A large number of ladies and gentlemen were active in their efforts to promote the enjoyment of all present, and it is estimated that over one thousand people availed themselves during the day of the very liberal programme of games and amusements. About i6BO was expected to be realised. An excellent band played various selections during the day, and the Woolston volunteers were present, and went through their bayonet drill in a highly creditable manner.
