Licensing Committees.

♦ HEATHCOTE. An adjourned meeting of the Heathcote District Licensing Committee was held at noon to-day in the Selwyn County Council Office ; present— Messrs H. Bennets (Chairman), W. Henderson, and W. Jackson. An application was made for the transfer of the license of the Heathcote Valley Hotel from- Thomas Firman to John F. Couzens. An excellent report was made ! by the police as to the way in which the I house was conducted, and the application j was granted. An extension of license for Boxing Day was also granted to W. J. Norrie, of the Junction Hotel, Lincoln road. This concluded the business, and the Committee then adjourned.
